Vice President, Technology Risk Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President to lead its Technology Risk Management function within the Program Controls, Operations & Modernization (ProCOM) organization. The role provides strategic leadership for enterprise technology risk, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported in line with regulatory expectations and Mastercard’s operational excellence goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision, operating model and roadmap for Technology Risk Management.
• Develop, implement and govern technology risk frameworks, methodologies, standards, procedures and controls across the technology organization.
• Establish enterprise‑wide processes for risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring, escalation and reporting.
• Drive consistent adoption of risk management, operational resilience, production readiness and control practices across products, platforms and engineering teams.
• Provide executive oversight of risk portfolios, key risk indicators, control effectiveness measures, issue remediation activities and emerging risk trends.
• Lead governance forums and executive reporting on technology risk posture, operational health and strategic priorities.
• Partner with technology, product, engineering, security and business leaders to embed a strong culture of risk ownership and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in technology risk management within large, complex organizations.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to align risk initiatives with business objectives.
• Excellent communication skills to influence and collaborate with cross‑functional executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to drive governance, resilience and control practices at scale.
