Vice President of Finance

About the role

Bastion is seeking a Vice President of Finance to design and scale finance systems, processes, and infrastructure for its regulated financial platform. This hands‑on leadership position will own the full accounting lifecycle, from month‑end close to regulatory filings and strategic financial modeling.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable finance operations, including month‑end close, reporting, and compliance.
• Prepare and file regulatory reports required under the NYDFS trust charter.
• Develop financial models that guide capital allocation, product pricing, and strategic decisions.
• Lead FP&A activities, create customer‑level P&L statements, and support board presentations.
• Review journal entries, ensure robust internal controls, and partner with legal, compliance, and risk teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably as a controller or senior accountant.
• Proven ability to translate detailed accounting work into strategic financial insight.
• Comfort operating in a highly regulated financial‑services environment.
• Strong judgment and discipline in controls and compliance.
