Vice President - Finance and Accounting

About the role

The Vice President of Finance and Accounting leads the entire finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic financial guidance for the organization. This senior position partners with senior leadership to evaluate business opportunities and drive long‑term financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, tax, sales tax, and revenue recognition.
• Implement and improve internal controls through process reviews and flowchart analysis.
• Partner with senior management to assess ROI, valuation, and financial implications of new opportunities.
• Lead long‑range strategic planning, financial requirement assessment, and alternative financing solutions.
• Develop projection models to identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Direct accounting operations, set metrics, and continuously review policies and procedures.
• Maintain historical financials, key indicators, trends, and benchmarks.
• Manage annual budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, and debt facilities compliance.
• Coordinate annual audits, revenue‑sharing audits, and ensure MiLB reporting compliance.
• Oversee income‑tax preparation with external advisors and manage treasury functions across entities.
• Lead financial settlements for non‑baseball events and perform ad‑hoc audit oversight.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Minimum four years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
