Vice President, Controller

About the role

The Vice President, Controller will lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, audit coordination, and internal controls across multiple entities. Partnering closely with executive leadership, the role focuses on accelerating reporting speed, enhancing visibility, and improving decision quality while modernizing the accounting function with automation and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities, shortening timelines and increasing accuracy.
• Prepare and review consolidated GAAP financial statements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Design scalable accounting infrastructure and automated processes, optimizing NetSuite, Cube, Ramp, and other finance systems.
• Implement AI‑driven automation initiatives to improve workflow efficiency.
• Manage accounting for multiple LLCs, complex ownership structures, and intercompany activity.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, and ongoing operational accounting needs.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors, compliance, and tax coordination.

Required profile

• CPA certification with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Proven experience managing efficient close cycles and clean annual audits.
• Track record of delivering accounting automation and process‑improvement projects.
• Familiarity with multi‑site, private‑equity‑backed environments and LLC tax treatment.
