Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Coach – 2026-2027 School Year

About the role

The Buffalo Board of Education is seeking a qualified coach to lead the varsity girls’ volleyball program at PS 301 Burgard High School for the 2026‑2027 school year. The coach will develop game strategies, teach techniques, and prepare student‑athletes for competition while upholding the district’s athletic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices and contests from Monday through Saturday, including holidays as needed.
• Teach volleyball rules, strategies, techniques, and effective coaching methods.
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and supplies; submit inventory and request forms to the Athletic Director.
• Model NFHS Coaches Code of Ethics and nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Establish and sustain positive relationships with administrators, parents, students, and community members.
• Assume full responsibility for team conduct, philosophy, and overall athletic program standards.

Required profile

• Experience coaching organized volleyball at club, junior varsity, varsity, or college level is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to apply effective coaching techniques and knowledge of volleyball regulations.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with school administrators, parents, and athletes.
• Must meet First Aid/CPR/AED certification requirements prior to appointment.
• Valid Physical Education teaching certificate or completion of a New York State Coaching Certification pathway.
