United Nations Policy Advocacy and External Engagement Intern

About the role

The United Nations Policy Advocacy and External Engagement Intern will support World Vision’s UN Policy and Advocacy Team in New York, assisting with monitoring UN schedules, preparing briefing materials, and supporting external engagement with UN bodies and NGOs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor United Nations Security Council and General Assembly schedules to anticipate meetings or votes affecting human rights and humanitarian efforts.
• Stay informed about developments within the assigned portfolio and provide timely updates.
• Assist in drafting briefings, position papers, and other materials for internal use and external engagement.
• Support internal planning and provide logistical and administrative assistance for events leading up to UNGA in September 2026.
• Support participation in external meetings and maintain communications with peer NGOs and UN agencies.
