Union Porter - New York

About the role

Greystar, a global real estate platform focused on institutional-quality rental housing, is hiring a Union Porter in New York. The role keeps the community's physical environment clean and well-maintained, supports the service team and works the shift from 3 PM to midnight.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments before make-ready, transfer trash to the dumpster or storage area and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests asked by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and help the make-ready specialist with the turn process.
• Change locks in line with property policy and check that pool gate access complies with codes and safety standards.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Treat residents with respect, answer questions and respond sensitively to complaints about maintenance.
• Take part in safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training and report accidents and incidents promptly.

• Hourly rate of $22.00, with possible weekly, monthly or quarterly bonuses depending on the role type.
