About the role
O’Keefe Media Group is seeking resourceful, mission‑driven Undercover Journalists to identify, investigate, and document stories of public interest. This remote, part‑time contractor position works on a project‑by‑project basis with compensation set per assignment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and research credible investigative leads aligned with OMG’s editorial priorities.
- Conduct field investigations, gathering video, audio, documents, and source information while maintaining confidentiality and legal compliance.
- Communicate progress, risks, and findings promptly to the investigative team and keep thorough, organized records.
- Ensure assignments are completed on time, within scope, and with accurate, secure deliverables.
Required profile
- Strong commitment to investigative journalism and OMG’s mission.
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and ability to stay composed under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse sources.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide as needed.
