Unarmed Security Officer - Patrol Driver

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer who also drives a patrol vehicle in Westlake, Louisiana. The role serves and safeguards clients in chemical and petrochemical locations by conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control and keeping a visible presence to deter incidents. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, spills and other critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas and the perimeter.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, watching visitor and contractor activity and documenting entries, exits and unusual conditions.
• Write clear reports of incidents, patrol observations, hazards and policy violations and share them with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions only).
• TSA-issued TWIC.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Preferred qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• A guard card or license.
