Unarmed Security Guard - Hospital Facility Patrol (Part-Time)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a healthcare location in Garfield Heights, Ohio. The officer conducts routine patrols, keeps a visible presence to help deter incidents, responds to security-related concerns and provides welcoming customer service to patients, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, patient or visitor concerns and critical situations, notifying the right people according to site procedures.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding and compliance with access procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and share observations and incidents with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification and customer service experience are preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.

• Schedule: Saturday 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM and Sunday 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
