Unarmed Patrol Officer – Manufacturing Site

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an unarmed patrol officer in Zeeland, Michigan. The officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including manufacturing and industrial sites, by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents. The position is full time, day shift, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at $18.58 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, entry points and the facility perimeter, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures and report unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, contacting site personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations and security activities accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: comfort with a computer or tablet, customer service experience and alarm panel experience.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local law.
