Ultrasound Technologist – Imaging

About the role

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a broad range of routine and advanced ultrasound examinations, supporting patient flow and collaborating with other imaging staff. The role requires operating and maintaining medical ultrasound equipment while ensuring high‑quality image acquisition and archiving.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist other imaging technologists as needed.
• Operate, set up, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and related imaging systems.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and basic equipment maintenance.
• Ensure images are correctly stored in the PACS and follow downtime procedures as a PACS super‑user.
• Maintain compliance with hospital, state and federal policies, and protect patient confidentiality.
• Adapt work schedules to cover different shifts and campuses when required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience.
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts and locations.

Required skills

• Operation of medical ultrasound equipment.
• Basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Proficiency with PACS image storage and retrieval.
• Image processing and archiving procedures.
• Quality assurance (QA) practices for imaging equipment.
