TypeScript Software Development Engineer II

About the role

Esri is hiring a TypeScript Software Development Engineer II in Redlands to help design and develop the next generation of ArcGIS business solutions. The role focuses on building user experiences for complex workflows using modern front-end development practices, within a team working on ArcGIS Business Analyst, which combines demographic, business, lifestyle and census data with map-based analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test and evolve the Business Analyst Web App
• Write scalable, reusable and maintainable code as a TypeScript programmer
• Stay current with complementary languages, development methodologies, UI design techniques and database tools
• Work with other developers to build robust components and integrate with other teams
• Diagnose and fix software problems

Required profile

• 2+ years of front-end development experience with TypeScript
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and excellent teamwork and communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Node.js
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Ember
• Web components, UI and unit testing
• Figma and Storybook
• REST APIs and software development methodologies (Scrum) and Git
• Preferred: familiarity with ArcGIS API for JavaScript, linters, CI/CD and build tools

• Estimated base salary of $101,192-$167,336 USD
