Senior GIS Solution Engineer - Geo Experience Center

About the role

Esri is looking for a Senior GIS Solution Engineer for its Geo Experience Center in Redlands. As a GIS subject matter expert, you will advise customers on their most complex business challenges, demonstrate the value of GIS and help partners find unique patterns and trends. You will present, demonstrate and support Esri software and solutions, and lead technical meetings with enterprise-level decision makers.

Key responsibilities

• Present, demonstrate and support Esri software and solutions, and lead technical meetings that drive revenue.
• Act as a technical leader of Esri technology and a subject matter expert across industries, understanding business structures, workflows, third-party systems and integration points.
• Coach new team members on best practices.
• Propose solutions that show how GIS addresses customers' critical challenges and define complex strategies aligned with their business needs.
• Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, give configuration guidance and best practices, and present at large conferences and executive engagements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with Esri technology (mapping, spatial analysis, web apps).
• 3+ years of experience in various industries.
• Demonstrated technical consulting and conceptual solution design experience.
• Understanding of sales and business development processes.
• Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science or a related field; visa sponsorship not available, U.S. work authorization required.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%; onsite role.

Required skills

• Broad ArcGIS knowledge (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud)
• Geodatabases and underlying DBMS
• Cloud computing (Microsoft Azure or AWS)
• Integration with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP and analytics platforms
• Python and JavaScript programming and scripting
• Troubleshooting Esri application deployment and system architecture

Preferred: real-time data streams with GIS, digitalization strategies (mobile, IoT, AI/ML, imagery), and a Master's degree. Total rewards include health and welfare benefits, 401(k) and profit sharing, 80 hours of vacation and 12 paid holidays; estimated base salary $98,592-$173,576 USD.
