Turret Driver/Dock Operator – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Turret Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate loading and unloading of freight at dock and shipping areas. This role supports inbound and outbound logistics by operating forklifts, walkie riders, pallet jacks and other equipment while maintaining inventory accuracy and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate walkie riders, turret trucks and other material‑handling equipment to transport, replenish and put away materials.
• Load and unload materials at dock doors, ensuring safe handling and proper placement.
• Document inventory movements, use RF units and the Warehouse Management System to scan and track stock.
• Conduct visual inspections for damages, shortages or quality issues and report them to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard‑free dock and warehouse environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; forklift certification preferred or obtainable.
• 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment, preferably high‑volume.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe material‑handling practices.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Operation of walkie riders, turret trucks and powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Use of RF scanning devices and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Basic computer literacy for logging inventory transactions.
• Understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
