Trust Balance & Statement Coordinator

About the role

Associated Bank is looking for a Trust Balance & Statement Coordinator to oversee the balancing, reconciling and posting of daily trust account transactions. The role ensures that client statements are accurate, released on time and distributed correctly, and handles cash deposits, wire verification and statement coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Balance cash processing packets and daily work so deposits to the Trust Company's checking account are timely and accurate, reconcile to the trust accounting system, and handle deposits while monitoring activity to avoid overdrafts.
• Review and resolve rejected entries from Support Services and Trust Administration.
• Coordinate the release of client statements for all trust accounts on multiple frequencies through the vendor platform, including non-standard institutional statements, and review new statement setups.
• Add annual year-end regulatory message updates to the Trust Accounting system and coordinate updates to Retirement Plan Support Services statements.
• Monitor out-of-balance statements, identify causes and correct them before release, and distribute off-cycle overnight statements.
• Oversee incoming wires received in the DDA, verify outgoing wires before posting and follow up on rejected or returned wires.
• Review trust flexible payment system transaction setups and verify new requests for completeness.
• Act as point person for incoming and outgoing interoffice, USPS and FedEx mail, and package mail bags securely at the end of each day.
• Order tax reports quarterly for the Trust Tax department and manage department supplies, including letterhead and envelopes.

Required profile

• Accounting degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Finance degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 2-4 years of accounting or finance experience required; 4-7 years in accounting, finance or trust operations preferred.
