Trial Attorney – Corporate Enforcement

About the role

The National Fraud Enforcement Division seeks experienced attorneys to join its Corporate Enforcement Section. Trial Attorneys will support the Division’s corporate criminal enforcement practice, advising on liability, compliance, and corporate resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist litigating sections with corporate criminal enforcement matters, including liability evaluation and resolution structuring.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs and reporting obligations.
• Draft and revise corporate criminal enforcement policies.
• Coordinate with line and supervisory attorneys across various fraud sections to ensure policy compliance and strategic objectives.
• Develop and deliver training on corporate enforcement and compliance evaluation.
• Provide crime‑victim assistance and liaise with domestic and foreign law‑enforcement or regulatory partners.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen or national; must pass security investigation and background check.
• J.D. or equivalent, licensed to practice law in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C., and in good standing.
• For GS‑14: at least 2.5 years post‑J.D. experience with specialized legal work equivalent to GS‑13.
• For GS‑15: at least 4 years post‑J.D. experience with specialized legal work equivalent to GS‑14.
• Selective Service registration for males born on/after 31 Dec 1959.

Required skills

• Legal analysis and drafting of pleadings, briefs, and court documents.
• Experience in civil or criminal litigation, including complex cases.
• Knowledge of corporate criminal resolutions and compliance programs.
