About the role

The University of Tulsa seeks an Assistant Director to lead academic support and bar exam preparation initiatives within its law school, focusing on at‑risk and first‑generation students.

Key responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive academic support program, including workshops, coaching, and early‑intervention strategies.
• Develop and oversee bar exam preparation programming, coordinating commercial prep, assessments, and individualized study plans.
• Provide academic counseling and bar advising, especially for students at academic risk.
• Teach academic support and bar preparation courses in the law school curriculum.
• Collaborate with faculty to align teaching strategies and assessments with Next Gen bar exam competencies.
• Offer guidance and professional development for faculty to enhance bar exam readiness.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the Bar of any jurisdiction.
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
• Experience in law practice or a judicial clerkship.
• Familiarity with current trends in legal pedagogy and bar readiness.
