Travel Medical Assistant – Statewide (Temp/Seasonal) – Iowa

About the role

We are seeking a Travel Medical Assistant to provide in‑home preventive‑care visits across Iowa. This temporary, seasonal position involves traveling to patients’ homes to complete scheduled assessments and support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.

Key responsibilities

• Complete scheduled in‑home member visits throughout Iowa.
• Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive‑care activities.
• Take vitals, perform screenings, and conduct point‑of‑care tests such as A1C and urinalysis.
• Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR system.
• Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, credential, or equivalent qualification.
• Hands‑on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance.
• Comfort working independently in patients’ homes.
• Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements.
• Willingness to travel throughout Iowa, including overnight assignments and occasional nearby‑state travel.
