Transportation Engineering Internship – Spring 2027 (Texas)

About the role

Woolpert is looking for motivated Transportation Engineering interns to join its Texas offices for the Spring 2027 term (January‑May). You will work on real projects that shape traffic, roadway, bridge, and transportation planning solutions for a variety of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist licensed engineers with analysis, design, plan production, and cost estimation.
• Develop and modify project deliverables using Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external sub‑consultants, and clients to coordinate project tasks.
• Perform independent problem‑solving and contribute to multidisciplinary project work.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably a sophomore or higher.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or a closely related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Effective multitasking and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least two days per week and to relocate at personal expense if needed.
