Transportation Director

About the role

Guernsey is seeking a Transportation Director to lead its transportation practice across multidisciplinary teams. You will champion the firm’s ESOP culture, drive growth in emerging markets, and shape high‑impact projects that advance sustainable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an owner‑leader, balancing growth, risk, and long‑term firm success while setting clear expectations for performance and culture.
• Develop and execute growth strategies for new and emerging transportation markets, including go/no‑go decisions on project opportunities.
• Maintain senior client relationships, conduct project debriefs, and support business development activities such as interview preparation and win strategies.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution, providing coaching, feedback, and fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
• Engage with public agencies, regulatory bodies, and political stakeholders to advocate for transportation initiatives and represent Guernsey in professional organizations.
• Create regional business plans, financial metrics, and oversee contract terms and scopes.
