Operations Manager

About the role

McCarty Equipment, a SunSource company, is seeking an energetic Operations Manager to drive profitability, sales growth and operational efficiency at its Oklahoma City branch. The role partners with the Region Manager to shape strategic direction and oversee daily operations across sales, shipping, receiving and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Region Manager to develop and execute the annual business plan.
• Lead Inside Sales and coordinate pricing strategies to maximize gross margin.
• Oversee shipping, receiving and material processing to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Maintain organized inventory, design storage layouts and manage stock accuracy.
• Directly manage Inside Sales staff and Shop Foreman, handling recruitment, training, performance evaluation and weekly payroll.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on lean, quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, company policies and documentation.
• Develop succession plans for operations personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of P&L responsibility and supervisory experience in an industrial distribution environment.
• At least three years leading and developing teams, plus five years of lean leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong verbal, written, mathematical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; Spanish is a plus.
