Transportation Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a passionate, detail‑oriented Transportation Coordinator to support our transportation team with daily administrative tasks. The role involves close collaboration with plant operations, sales, and field teams to ensure smooth logistics and driver compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain inter‑departmental communication between operations, sales, and field teams.
• Track driver activity using Nextraq, logs, and other documents (stop times, idling, speeding).
• Create and manage manifests in coordination with administration and production staff.
• Schedule vehicle servicing, resolve equipment issues, and conduct regular vehicle inspections for roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Prepare driver memorandums, maintain KPI spreadsheets, and analyze route efficiencies for cost savings.
• Support safety practices, ensure Occupational Health & Safety compliance, and address non‑conformances.
• Verify load sheets, ensure order accuracy, and oversee quality assurance of smart containers.
• Monitor commercial drivers’ Hours of Service, maintain DOT compliance, and handle daily vendor/customer emails.
• Assist the Transportation Supervisor with projects and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• 2+ years of transportation support or dispatch experience.
• At least 6 months of box‑truck driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Good understanding of logistics practices and customer‑service standards.
• Team‑player attitude and willingness to contribute to a positive work environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Nextraq or similar transportation tracking software.
