About the role
The DLAM Operational Support Specialist provides cross‑functional, on‑site support across multiple laboratory animal medicine facilities. This transient, fixed‑term position ensures continuity of daily operations, animal care, and regulatory compliance within the large‑animal hospital and related research areas.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning, sanitation, and routine animal care in large‑animal hospital, research barns, vivarium dog kennels, and other assigned areas (≈50%).
- Maintain animal reports, daily census records, room logs, and other documentation; observe and report health concerns (≈25%).
- Provide coverage and operational support across multiple DLAM work areas as needed (≈10%).
- Safely operate forklifts, tractors, cage‑washing equipment, and other departmental machinery (≈10%).
- Participate in cross‑training, special projects, emergency operations, and other duties (≈5%).
Required profile
- High School Diploma (minimum qualification).
