Transcript Analyst I – Admissions

About the role

The Office of Admissions at Texas A&M University seeks a detail‑oriented Transcript Analyst I to evaluate graduate and professional school applications. You will verify academic credentials, assess English proficiency, and support prospective students and academic departments.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and enter student academic records to determine admission eligibility using the Document Imaging Workflow System and student information system.
• Perform in‑depth analysis of specific application types, compute GPA when needed, and prepare admissions‑related documents for academic colleges.
• Provide customer service by answering emails, phone calls, and walk‑in inquiries from students, parents, and university departments.
• Act as liaison between external educational institutions and Texas A&M academic advisors on admissions matters.
• Handle special projects assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience in admissions, document evaluation, bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
• Familiarity with student information systems such as Banner, AIS, Howdy, MOSES, and SLATE.
• Ability to operate remote‑hosted meeting applications.
