Training Support Specialist - Admin

About the role

ATP, the nation’s largest flight school, is expanding its Training Support Department and seeks a Training Support Specialist to ensure students have seamless access to resources and logistics needed to complete their airline pilot program on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively engage with students individually and in groups, building and verifying effective schedules.
• Conduct pre‑arrival calls, day‑1 check‑ins, weekly orientation and instructor meetings.
• Administer FAA Knowledge Tests via CATS, schedule evaluations, solo flights and check‑ride milestones.
• Coordinate with Designated Pilot Examiners, manage check‑ride logistics and handle contingency plans for weather, maintenance or aircraft limitations.
• Facilitate introductions to other ATP departments (Training, Financing, Housing) and maintain student tracking records.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented work experience.
• Aviation background with understanding of FAA certification (preferred).
• Private Pilot Certificate or Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (preferred).
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience using CATS (Computer Assisted Testing Service) for FAA Knowledge Tests.
• Knowledge of FAA certification processes and pilot training workflows.
