Training & Learning Specialist

About the role

The Training & Learning Specialist will design and deliver engaging training experiences for Texans Together staff, foster/adoptive parents, and community participants. Working both onsite and virtually, you will ensure that all learning programs align with TTG’s mission to support children and families in the Texas foster care system.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate instructor‑led training sessions in classroom, virtual, and eLearning environments.
• Lead virtual refresher and compliance courses for tenured staff, adapting facilitation style to remote learners.
• Coordinate in‑person and online workshops, tailoring content on the spot based on audience needs.
• Prepare training spaces, manage logistics, print materials, and ensure technology and virtual platforms function smoothly.
• Collaborate with program teams and the evaluation unit to meet contractual obligations and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate attendance, completion, and evaluation records in the organization’s Learning Management System.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering training to adult learners, preferably in child‑welfare or human‑services settings.
• Strong ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learner needs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for logistics and record‑keeping.
• Ability to provide real‑time verbal and written feedback to support skill application.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms.
