Training Coordinator – Safety & Workforce Development

About the role

The Training Coordinator will lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of safety and workforce development programs at Weyerhaeuser’s Natchitoches, LA manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Site Safety Manager and working closely with the HR Business Partner, this full‑time hourly position ensures associates receive the training needed to work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer all required site safety training, including new‑hire orientation, refresher courses, and recertifications.
• Schedule, track, and maintain compliance records for safety training programs.
• Partner with Safety leadership to identify training needs arising from incidents, audits, and risk assessments.
• Manage the on‑the‑job training (OJT) and qualification process, developing guides, checklists, and training matrices.
• Verify accurate completion of training documentation and report progress to supervisors.
• Conduct periodic audits of OJT programs to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Coordinate training linked to Job Instructions (JIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work processes.
• Maintain training databases and learning management systems, tracking expirations, recertifications, and skill inventories.

Required profile

• Full‑time, hourly non‑exempt employee willing to work onsite at the Natchitoches facility.
• Strong collaboration skills with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, and HR teams.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for record‑keeping and compliance.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
