Trainer

About the role

MSX International, a partner to vehicle manufacturers, retailers and mobility organizations for more than 30 years, is hiring a Trainer in Detroit. The role covers training and education programs for employees and external clients, with 80% travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training and education programs for employees and external clients
• Evaluate employee and client knowledge, skills and abilities against job or role needs and identify training gaps
• Prepare and lead client training using a standardized curriculum
• Train existing team members in classroom or field, and onboard new hires to client culture and market roles
• Support Kaizen and other employee process efficiency and productivity exercises
• Keep up to date on sales and technical product knowledge
• Collaborate with the Training Department, MSX Management and Market Management on training plans
• Review training materials, collect trainee feedback and contribute to training evaluation
• Maintain positive team and customer relationships and keep confidential the materials and programs used

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in education, another related course, or a mix of relevant industry knowledge, experience and certifications
• Background in content delivery and creation using modern methods and technology
• Strong organization and time-management skills, creativity and problem-solving ability
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• High empathy, understanding of teaching methodologies and willingness to learn new instructional techniques
