sUAS New Equipment Fielding/Training Instructor

About the role

CACI is seeking an experienced Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) trainer to support New Equipment Fielding (NEF) and Training (NET) for U.S. Military units. The role delivers hands-on instruction, builds operator proficiency and enables units to safely use Group 1-2 sUAS platforms, First-Person View (FPV) systems and related sensor technologies. It is a full-time, regular position based in Fayetteville with up to 50% travel across the continental United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present complex training programs for soldiers and contractor personnel on U.S. Military individual equipment.
• Coordinate with the customer to identify program needs, obtain technical data and schedule programs.
• Test and evaluate trainees to measure learning progress and the effectiveness of training presentations.
• Deliver training on complex topics and design and develop training modules.
• Guide less experienced trainers using strong technical and training skills.
• Serve as primary instructor for Operator and Operator/Field Service Representative courses.
• Provide sustainment support for assigned equipment.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years of related work experience.
• Army MOS 18 Series or MOS 11B (V-Ranger qualified).
• Experience as a military and/or tactical instructor.
• Ability to travel up to 50% (CONUS and OCONUS).

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of FPV/sUAS platforms, sensors, night vision and thermal equipment, typically gained through specialized training and operational experience.
• Knowledge of the Army supply system, especially issuing new equipment to U.S. Army units.
• UAS familiarity.

Desired: Military Instructor certification. The pay range is $58,500 - $122,800, depending on location, contract category, experience, skills and certifications. Benefits include healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education and time off.
