Vietnamese Instructor (Full-Time, In-Person)

About the role

CACI is seeking a Vietnamese Instructor to support a high-priority customer mission. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Fairfax, Virginia, combining teaching and language assessment duties. Candidates must be passionate about language instruction, experienced in adult education and able to adapt materials to customized learning needs. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, though CACI can sponsor the clearance process for those who pass the language assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-person instruction to advanced-level adult students (ILR 2-3).
• Summarize, gist, translate, triage and edit foreign-language materials into accurate, professional American English.
• Incorporate cultural, regional and geopolitical context relevant to the target language.
• Adapt teaching materials to meet learner needs while supporting critical mission requirements.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution or from the country where the target language is spoken, with at least 5+ years of direct adult teaching experience; or 7-10 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
• Ability to pass an advanced English proficiency translation assessment at Senior Level (4+) and to achieve ILR 5/5/5 in speaking, listening and reading in Vietnamese.
• Strong understanding of the geopolitical, cultural, regional and ethnic dynamics of the language area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and online research.
• Desired: familiarity with regional dialects and experience in consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation.
