Trainer I – Campus (Learning & Development)

About the role

The Trainer I – Campus joins ArcBest’s Learning & Development team to design, deliver and support cross‑functional training across all divisions and campuses. The role focuses on improving employee performance through well‑structured orientation, competency building and ongoing learning initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to identify training needs and create tailored training proposals.
• Develop content for online modules, instructor‑led virtual and in‑person sessions, videos and other resources.
• Deliver orientation and competency training to new hires and existing staff.
• Review supervisor feedback, conduct job‑shadowing and support performance improvement.
• Assist with facilitating ArcBest University classes both in‑person and virtually.
• Provide training support for company‑wide initiatives and occasional projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, operations or customer service within transportation or logistics (preferred).
• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and occasional travel (0‑25%).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficiency with Adobe Captivate.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using internal logistics applications.
