Trailer Mechanic – Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for its Milwaukee Service Center. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trailers to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic inspections and conduct preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare required documentation for FMCSA and other regulations.
• Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with legislated standards.

Required profile

• Experience performing safety inspections and preparing related documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and lift at least 50 lb.
• Own set of tools and dependable work ethic.
• Willingness to work in varying climate conditions as needed.
