CDL‑A Linehaul Truck Driver

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced CDL‑A drivers to join its Milwaukee service center as linehaul drivers. You will pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and turn‑point locations, returning home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 53‑foot van trailers or double trailers on scheduled linehaul routes.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with all DOT regulations.
• Complete pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screening, and road test.
• Load, unload, and secure freight as required.
• Report any equipment issues and ensure proper vehicle maintenance.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations and no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military transition specifications).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.
