Tractor Operator (NA-06) – Field Equipment Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Tractor Operator (NA‑06) to run field‑type tractors and attached or towed equipment on agricultural sites. The role involves planning work sequences, transporting materials, and performing a variety of field operations while ensuring safety and equipment upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a field‑type tractor with various attachments (mower, plow, sprayer, etc.) and towed equipment.
• Plan and execute work order, transport supplies, dig, load, plant, clear, mow and dispense liquids or solids.
• Adjust equipment settings such as mower blade height, plow depth, and spray rates to meet job specifications.
• Perform minor maintenance: check and replenish fluids, replace filters, sharpen blades, lubricate components, and make necessary adjustments.
• Make operational judgments on power settings, gear selection, and work sequencing under diverse conditions (mud, trees, shrubs).

Required profile

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass background investigations, E‑Verify, and a medical physical examination.
• Physical capability to lift up to 100 lb and perform repetitive arm and leg movements.
• Readiness to wear protective gear and work outdoors in sun, dust and adverse weather.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tractor gears, power ratios, braking and turning capacities.
• Understanding of equipment power requirements, capacities and operating speeds.
• Experience with attachment and towed equipment handling.
• Ability to conduct minor tractor maintenance (fluid checks, filter changes, blade sharpening, lubrication).
