Tractor Operator – Field Equipment Specialist

About the role

The Tractor Operator (NA-06) is responsible for safely operating a field‑type tractor with attached and towed equipment to perform a variety of agricultural tasks. The role involves planning work sequences, transporting materials, and ensuring equipment is correctly set up and maintained while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a tractor with attachments such as mowers, plows, sprayers, and loaders to dig, load, plant, clear, mow, and dispense liquids or solids.
• Plan and prioritize work order, transport materials and equipment, and make multiple connections between tractor and attachments.
• Adjust equipment settings (blade height, plow depth, spray rate) to meet job requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance: check and replenish fluids, examine and replace filters, sharpen blades, lubricate components, and make necessary adjustments.
• Make operational judgments on power settings, gear selection, and work sequencing while adhering to safety protocols.

Required profile

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass a medical physical examination and lift supplies up to 100 lb.
• Eligibility for background checks, E‑Verify, and a Tier 1 investigation for a Common Access Card.
• Comfort working outdoors with exposure to sun, dust, mud and variable weather.
