Total Rewards Optimization Specialist

About the role

The Total Rewards Optimization Specialist supports continuous improvement of the University of Miami's Total Rewards programs. Working closely with Total Rewards leadership and operational stakeholders, the specialist drives efficiency, automation, and enhanced service delivery across compensation, benefits, and payroll‑related processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Total Rewards workflows and data to pinpoint inefficiencies, gaps, and automation opportunities.
• Research, document, and recommend process changes that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and stakeholder experience.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as SOPs, job aids, intake guides, and training materials.
• Coordinate Total Rewards projects, track deliverables, monitor deadlines, and prepare status updates.
• Support implementation of process changes through design, testing, communication, and post‑implementation follow‑up.
• Create process maps and operational guides that define roles, handoffs, escalation paths, and service‑level expectations.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries on intake volume, turnaround times, issue trends, and SLA performance.
• Assist with audit readiness and compliance by maintaining accurate records.
