Tool Technician II

About the role

A client of 1 Resource Group is hiring an experienced Tool Technician in Harrison. You will troubleshoot, repair and service industrial and contractor equipment, including pneumatic, electric and hydraulic tools and rigging equipment. The position is on-site, day shift, and requires overtime availability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine adjustments, testing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on industrial tools and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair small gas engines
• Complete work orders and parts orders
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Follow HSE policies, company procedures and safety standards
• Develop core technical skills and perform additional duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; technical school certification or vocational training preferred
• At least 3 years of experience repairing tools, equipment or machinery, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Preferred experience with chain hoists, pneumatic tuggers/winches, pneumatic impacts, power tools, electric threaders and milling equipment
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand most of the day, and obtain an internal forklift certification
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and after-hours emergency calls

Required skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of tool repair techniques, including electrical and pneumatic tools
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask safely
