About the role

Cedarwood School, a nationally accredited private school in Mandeville, LA, is seeking a dedicated Third Grade Teacher. This full‑time on‑site position involves creating engaging lessons and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom for third‑grade students.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
• Manage daily classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Support the intellectual, social, and emotional development of each student.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
• Valid teaching certification or licensure for the applicable grade level (required).
• Experience working with elementary‑age students, preferably in a third‑grade setting (required).
• Strong proficiency in teaching, elementary education, and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
