Therapist – Suicide Prevention Program

About the role

The Therapist for the Suicide Prevention Program provides remote, evidence‑based psychotherapy and crisis support to youth and families at high risk of suicide. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess risk, develop safety plans, and coordinate care across treatment settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual, joint‑family and parent/guardian teletherapy using C‑CBT, DBT skills, and Motivational Interviewing.
• Conduct suicide risk assessments (e.g., C‑SSRS) and lead real‑time safety planning and lethal‑means counseling.
• Manage monthly acuity reviews, adjust treatment frequency, and track risk trajectories.
• Coordinate clinical safety strategy with Care Team Members and the Crisis Center, handling high‑acuity escalations.
• Maintain compliant, high‑integrity documentation for Medicaid Fee‑for‑Service billing.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related behavioral health field.
• Current Nevada independent behavioral‑health license (LCSW, CPC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
• At least two years of direct experience with adolescents and adults, preferably in suicide prevention.
• Completed crisis‑intervention training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
• Strong computer skills, including secure messaging and video conferencing tools.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and sound clinical judgment.
