Therapist – Med‑Psych Management Program

About the role

The Therapist for the Med‑Psych Management Program (MPMP) provides evidence‑based psychotherapy and coordinates care for members with co‑occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. This fully remote, full‑time role involves managing a caseload, conducting assessments, and collaborating with an integrated care team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group teletherapy using CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Administer validated clinical assessments (e.g., M3, PHQ‑9, GAD‑7) to stratify risk, track progress, and adjust treatment plans.
• Serve as the clinical lead with a Care Team Member, addressing medical, behavioral, and health‑related social needs.
• Perform crisis management, real‑time risk assessments, safety planning, and escalation for high‑acuity events.
• Complete high‑integrity documentation (DAP format) within 24 hours in the EMR to meet Medicaid standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current Nevada Department of Health independent behavioral health license (LCSW, CPC, LMFT, etc.).
• At least two years of direct experience working with adults in behavioral health, including severe mental illness.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid practices and local community resources.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma‑informed care.
• Experience with clinical assessment tools such as M3, PHQ‑9, and GAD‑7.
• Ability to use electronic medical record (EMR) systems for timely documentation and billing.
• Strong crisis assessment and stabilization skills.
