Therapist – Med-Psych Management Program

About the role

The Therapist for the Med-Psych Management Program (MPMP) provides biopsychosocial assessments, individual and group teletherapy, and coordinates care across multiple treatment settings. This fully remote, full‑time role offers autonomy to manage a caseload and make clinical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality individual and group teletherapy using evidence‑based modalities such as CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma‑informed care.
• Administer validated clinical assessments (e.g., PHQ‑9, GAD‑7, M3) for risk stratification, track progress, and adjust treatment plans.
• Serve as the licensed clinical point of escalation for crisis management, conducting real‑time risk assessments and safety planning.
• Maintain detailed DAP documentation within 24 hours, reflecting behavioral health interventions, medical coordination, and social determinants of health.
• Collaborate with an integrated care team, including Care Extenders, to address medical, behavioral, and health‑related social needs.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related behavioral health discipline.
• Current Nevada Department of Health independent behavioral health license (LCSW, CPC, LMFT, etc.).
• At least two years of direct experience working with adults in behavioral health, including severe mental illness.
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare practices and local community resources.

Required skills

• Proficiency in evidence‑based psychotherapies: CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma‑informed care.
• Experience with clinical assessment tools such as PHQ‑9, GAD‑7, M3.
• Ability to conduct crisis assessment, safety planning, and escalation.
• Strong documentation skills using DAP format and EMR systems.
