Territory Sales Representative - Roofing Materials

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a Canadian-owned manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is hiring a Territory Sales Representative for the Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee area. The TSR plans and manages territory activities to grow sales and market share using approved sales and marketing tools, while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships and grow sales with assigned distribution customers in the territory
• Contact roofing contractors, remodelers, builders and architects regularly to drive demand
• Present products and programs to distributors and end users
• Run product knowledge training sessions with customers
• Manage territory pricing according to competitive situations
• Follow up on customer and company inquiries promptly
• Manage customer accounts receivable balances and deductions
• Investigate and process product quality complaints
• Organize and execute a business plan to meet territory sales goals
• Use approved sales and marketing tools within budget

Required profile

• Authorization to work in the United States; up to 25% overnight travel may be required
• Prior sales experience in the building products industry preferred
• Associate degree preferred
• Experience calling on roofing contractors, builders and/or architects, and prior professional sales training preferred
• Ability to call primarily on end users and perform pull-through sales
• Professional, proactive, detail-focused and deadline-oriented attitude

Required skills

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
