Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Physician Assistant Program

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) seeks a full‑time, 12‑month, tenure‑track faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor for its Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. Reporting to the Program Director, the faculty member will help maintain ARC‑PA accreditation and advance the program’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned didactic and clinical courses within the PA curriculum.
• Develop and revise syllabi, lecture materials, and examination items.
• Evaluate and improve course delivery and student learning outcomes.
• Supervise and assess student performance in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Provide student advising, mentorship, and academic remediation.
• Collaborate with PA faculty and staff on program development and accreditation compliance.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent clinical degree.
• Current, unrestricted PA licensure and clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the graduate level.
• Commitment to scholarly activity, research, and service.
