Tencent Cloud Business Development Intern - United States

About the role

Tencent Cloud International, part of the Cloud & Smart Industries Group (CSIG), is looking for final-year undergraduates or graduate students to join as a Sales Intern in Palo Alto, California. The intern works closely with experienced sales professionals to learn about Tencent Cloud products and services, the target market and sales techniques, and takes part in prospecting, lead generation, client communication and deal closing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and gather customer IT system and cloud usage information to help the sales team find opportunities.
• Reach out to new customers through different channels.
• Maintain and manage the customer database and sales pipeline.
• Plan and coordinate with the Marketing team to support outbound campaigns.
• Craft sales pitches and help qualify prospects with a good understanding of Tencent Cloud products and solutions.

Required profile

• Final-year undergraduate or graduate student with a view to pursuing a sales career in the public cloud industry.
• Able to commit to at least a 12-month full-time program.
• Bright, adaptable, passionate and entrepreneurial.

What we offer

• Expected base pay of $24.81 to $42.70 per hour, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
• 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays per year.
