Temporary Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

Bay Court at Harbour Pointe has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician. The position is temporary, covering an LOA, and covers technical and mechanical work on the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas. After the coverage, candidates may apply for a permanent position at another community.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and repairs, including appliance repairs, and perform preventative maintenance
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through the make-ready process, including punch lists, vendor scheduling and inspections
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas, and help with grounds, common areas and amenities
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment
• Track inventory, document work and support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts
• Follow safety policies, attend safety meetings and report accidents and incidents
• May inspect contractor work and help with property inspections

Required profile

• Knowledge of safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment
• Experience with painting, entry-level carpentry, appliance repair and basic plumbing
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart where applicable
• Flexible schedule, including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite
• EPA certification Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for certified service technicians)
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians
