Temporary Part-time ESOL Instructor

About the role

The International Institute of New England seeks a Temporary Part‑time ESOL Instructor to deliver Level 2 English for Speakers of Other Languages instruction to adult learners. The assignment runs from July 6 2026 to August 13 2026, with classes held remotely on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 10:00 am‑12:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide student‑centered instruction covering listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar.
• Develop lesson plans and classroom materials using program textbooks and supplemental resources.
• Allocate three hours per week for lesson preparation in addition to six hours of instruction.
• Refer student or classroom concerns to the Education Manager.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Education Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
• TESOL/TEFL certification preferred.
• At least one year of adult ESOL teaching experience, preferably with immigrant or non‑literate learners.
• Strong communication skills and ability to model accurate American English pronunciation.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
