Temporary IT Administrator

About the role

Helpware is seeking a temporary IT Administrator to provide on‑site and remote technical support for its Orlando office. Reporting to the Director of Technology Operations, the role serves as the first point of contact for hardware, software and networking issues, and escalates more complex problems as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop hardware, track inventory in real‑time and manage asset records.
• Diagnose, research and resolve computer and software problems, including operating system and application installations.
• Maintain accurate software license tracking and support multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS).
• Provide end‑user support for O365, Google Workspace and basic networking/telephony issues.
• Coordinate with supervisors on system upgrades, new projects and technology roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Experience in a BPO environment with desktop support or IT help‑desk duties.
• Associate degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, customer‑service orientation and work ethic.
• Ability to research, document and execute tasks or projects independently.

Required skills

• Windows, macOS and ChromeOS operating systems.
• Office 365 and Google Workspace administration.
• Basic networking and telephony knowledge.
• Hardware installation, configuration and inventory management.
• Software license tracking and asset management.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 security frameworks.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Security+ or MCITP certifications (optional).
