Temporary Contracts Associate – Commercial Law (Remote, NY)

About the role

The client, a global remote‑first AdTech company, is looking for a Temporary Contracts Associate to support its commercial legal team during a high‑volume period. The role is remote‑based in New York and will run for approximately three months with possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, focusing on insertion orders with IAB standard terms.
• Manage contract redlines from EMEA customers, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk tolerance.
• Review and advise on Data Processing Agreements and GDPR‑related provisions.
• Support cross‑border commercial transactions and provide guidance on international contracting considerations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders such as sales and operations to facilitate efficient deal execution.
• Deliver practical, business‑oriented legal advice in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Active bar admission in FL, GA, MA, PA, NJ or NY and current residence in one of these states.
• 5+ years of experience handling commercial contracts, preferably with law‑firm training.
• Strong understanding of GDPR fundamentals; advanced data‑privacy experience is a plus.
• Experience with EMEA counterparties and cross‑border commercial agreements preferred.
• Familiarity with AdTech, digital advertising or media industry agreements is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of contracts remotely.
