Telehealth Physician – Remote US‑Based Role for African Patients

About the role

Teledocta is seeking US‑licensed physicians to provide virtual consultations for patients across Africa. You will deliver evidence‑based care, adapt treatment plans to local resources, and collaborate with on‑the‑ground teams to ensure continuity of care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct video consultations, take comprehensive histories, and develop treatment plans aligned with local standards.
• Review diagnostic results, issue electronic prescriptions, and document encounters in the telehealth system.
• Provide second opinions and participate in case discussions with local clinicians.
• Contribute to clinical protocols and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Coordinate with Teledocta’s clinical leadership and operations teams to improve workflows and maintain regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in the United States.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or a relevant specialty.
• Experience with telemedicine or virtual care delivery.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, cultural competence, and ability to work flexible hours across African time zones.
